In 1978, Sid Broadbent had a dream.

His dream was to create the most elegant and sophisticated ice skate sharpener on the market. A machine that would change the way edges were sharpened for world-class figure skaters, and other ice skating enthusiasts.

The result has instilled confidence and edge command in the hearts, minds, and feet of thousands of figure skaters, hockey players, and around the world.

In 1987, Sid was awarded a grant from the U.S. Olympic Committee to fund his research, formally the Skateology Lab. Continuing to research and develop more skating innovations, Sid was awarded the Frank J. Zamboni  Award from the Ice Skating Institute for, "Outstanding Contributions to the ice skating industry."

Today, Incredible Edger lives on. Continuing Sid's commitment to making skaters more efficient, faster, and more confident than ever before. This commitment comes to life in everything we're doing to support the ice skating communities we serve.
